Coastal Christmas

Last year I decorated in a coastal theme for Christmas.

I was hoping to have current Christmas decor photos to share, but I ended up at the car dealership today.  You know how that goes…loss of time.  Hey but we have a new battery now! You can see my current Christmas decor by clicking here.

As I looked back at December’s posts from last year, I realized I didn’t share my little “Charlie Brown” Christmas tree or my front porch.  Honestly, I searched and searched and realized I didn’t even take any photos of these 2 areas…busy time of year!  {Shame on me!}  These photos were taken by my Mom.  Thanks Mom, I know I can always count on you to take photos of my hard work. :)   I did, however, take photos of my fireplace mantel and you can find those by clicking here.

Hope you are enjoying the sights, sounds, tastes and smells of Christmas.

First of all I want to say great blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your head before writing. I have had trouble clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out there. I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints? Appreciate it!

Thank you Angelina. What a loaded question you have given me. I am somewhat taken back that you ask as if I am an expert. I am far from it. I think it is different for each person. Sometimes I have the same problem. I have a notebook where I write down post topics. Whenever I come up with an idea I will write it in there or make a ‘note’ on my phone notes. However, this doesn’t mean good material always pops into your head and you type it out in 5 minutes. Good writing does take some thought and time. You might want to write what comes to you first thing and then re-read it later or have someone else proof read. Honestly, sometimes after I have published a post I might re-read and decide to do some editing. There’s no harm in doing this. I hope this helps answer your question.

That’s a great article. I would like to say thank you for sharing your thoughts. We will for sure bookmark your site. It’s hard to discover quality comments. We just purchased a book on the exact matter and was pretty good, but you explained a few things that the book failed to do.
