I’ve never done a movie review before. {just warning you 😉 } I was a huge fan of the Muppet’s when I was younger. I remember gathering in the living room to watch it on TV with my family. I wasn’t sure if I would like them as much as an adult. I don’t know why, because I enjoyed the Muppet’s 4D movie experience at both Disney Land and Disney World. I still absolutely adore the Christmas John Denver & The Muppets. It’s one of my favorite Christmas albums I play year after year. I think I saw the very first Muppet movie when my kids were younger, but I admit I haven’t seen the others.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. I sat next to my 15 year old Son, who wasn’t super thrilled to be going. I think that’s understandable from a teenage boy. He didn’t particularly like the parts when they would break out into song like they do in musicals. He’s not a musical kind of guy, though. However, there were a couple of times where I heard him laugh out loud. Those moments were priceless for me. I could stop this review right now and say there ya go, it’s worth going if my teenaged son laughed.
I thought it was definitely worth going to. And I’m not just saying this because Disney gave us free tickets to the screening. As an adult, this movie reminded me of the old Muppet Show and brought back good memories. Can’t you hear the tune playing in the back of your mind? I think adults will particularly like the movie, which is good, because sometimes kid friendly movies aren’t as much fun for the parents. I laughed throughout the whole movie. There is a plot, yet I’m not the kind of reviewer who will talk on and on about the plot. I think that ruins the movie if you know all about it before hand. I find I enjoy movies more when I don’t know much about them beforehand. I will say there are some celebrities who make an appearance.
I give this two thumbs up! This is a perfect family movie. Plan a movie night or day this weekend and take your kids to see Muppets Most Wanted. You won’t be disappointed.
