Absolutely Awesome New Twilight Trailer!

Holy cow!!!!! They came out with a final movie trailer for Twilight. It was released today and I am on cloud nine! I love this trailer so much more than the others! It shows more of Edward and Bella’s relationship…even a kiss! Ahhhhhh!!!! It is going to be sooooo good! I can’t wait…it is getting closer to the actual release day but it can’t seem to come soon enough!

I am currently re-reading Eclipse now. I have shared my “obsession” of Twilight with my Sister and Mom. They both felt the same way as I did…so I am not alone! Huh! One of my soon to be neighbor’s saw me wearing my shirt and I went on and on about how she had to read it. I saw her yesterday and she is reading Eclipse now. She said she is totally obsessed and hasn’t read a book in years. It was funny hearing her tell me how her husband is in shock about her reading all the time. Her husband and mine could start a support group! 🙂 SERIOUSLY!

Anyway, it has been fun having something to look forward to (the movie) in regards to these Twilight characters since finishing the books. I have missed them. These books have brought me so much joy. I am so glad I overlooked my notion of not liking vampires to read Twilight. I still don’t like the old mythical notions of vampires. I really only like Stephenie Meyer’s vampires. There are so many good things about them. Okay, I’ll let up for now…I won’t continue droning on. I am just so siked about this new trailer…this movie might be super close to reading the book!

One last thing, how could I forget or not mention this…the soundtrack music titles have been released!!!!!!! You can see each song and band that will be on the soundtrack on www.stepheniemeyer.com. There is a link under my favorite websites to the right. You can even listen to one of Paramore’s tracks written just for the movie! This is awesome news for Twilight Fans!

Gotta love it,

Dreaming of Vampires

Another funny thing my youngest told me this week. She has nightmares quite a bit. 🙁 Unfortunately this has been going on for about 2 years or longer. Almost every other night she ends up in our bed because she is scared from a dream. Every once in a while we will ask her what she is dreaming of. Her most common replies are bugs & monsters. There is a new subject of her dreams…yes, you guessed it vampires! I asked her the other day what she was dreaming about and she said vampires. I said, “I wonder why you are dreaming of them?” A exclaims, “because Mom, I hear you talk about those books to Sissy!”

They tell it like it is, don’t they!

Since I am on the subject of vampires…

I set my DVR to record Ellen today. Stephenie Meyer was to appear on the show. I sat down to watch it tonight and was disappointed. Ellen only asked Stephenie about 3 or 4 questions and that was it! It was maybe only about 3 minutes long! Oh well, I am excited about her exposure. I am surprised when I wear my Twilight T-shirt and someone asks me what Twilight is. I just naturally think that everyone knows what Twilight is now. I am happy to share my enthusiasm with them. One lady told me I was a good sales person! I don’t have to be a good salesperson to share something I love with someone. Although, I know it is indeed easier to sell something I love.

“Her existence alone was excuse enough to justify the creation of the entire world.”

38 is GREAT!

Today is my birthday and I want to thank everyone who called me to wish me a happy day. It is special that you remembered. It has been a good day. I started out by running 3 miles on the treadmill at the gym. I placed my little card on the scanner like I do every time I enter the gym and the computer all of a sudden said “Happy Birthday!” It totally shocked me! Then everyone in the office said Happy Birthday to me. That was pretty cool!

I then decided I would go see the progress of the house. There was only one framer there. It is very cloudy today with a high chance of rain. He informed me that one of the framers fell off a rafter yesterday working. I was very surprised to find out they worked yesterday. I did not expect that, being Labor Day, & then to find out someone who has been instrumental in building our miracle was hurt doing so. I was sad to hear the news. I think he has shoulder and ribs injured. The one man who was there asked me why I was coming & taking pictures of the house. I was thinking in my mind, “why would I NOT take pictures…it is my dream home you are building.” Anyhow, he continued talking and said out of all the 12 houses he has help build in the last 3 years that only one other owner came to take pictures. I was a little surprised myself and then told him it might be due to people working full time. I think maybe they just came and took pictures at night when they were not there anymore. This was a very nice man and I began to explain to him that I am very grateful for their work. “I want to take pictures and capture this process…it is a miracle to me. I like to see how it has grown. Honestly, I am in awe.” He looked at me and said, “you are the first person to say that, usually everyone takes us for granted.” I can not begin to tell you how humbling it was to hear him say this to me. He continued talking, sharing stories of how rude owners were to them, treating them like second class citizens. My sympathy overflowed as I listened to him. I am very grateful for these men, the framers of our new house. They have a special talent…it really is amazing to watch them work and see their progress.

At the last minute, a friend invited me to lunch and we visited a quaint little “Tea Room” in our small little town. Then before we knew it, it was time to pick up the kids from school. Hubby just got home with a cake for dessert…isn’t that so sweet! He also gave me Stephenie Meyer’s book The Host! Something to look forward to reading. Although, I really can’t imagine it being any better than Twilight. So we are off to have dinner at my favorite Italian Restaurant as a family. I made a birthday mix today and found a song I have been looking for for years: Something Good by Utah Saints. It is such a fun song to dance to!

I hope this finds all of you, my family & friends having a good day too! I am so blessed to have you all in my life. And even though I have wrinkles, grey hair and a slower metabolism I am grateful to be here this day…it is a gift itself!

Adios, Shan

Oh My…I am in total shock!

So I just got on Stephenie Meyer’s website and someone leaked out a partial copy of Midnight Sun. I am assuming it must have been more than the first chapter I just read yesterday on her own website. She is crushed and is suspending the writing of the rest of Midnight Sun indefinitely. I can’t believe it! This is an atrocity! How can someone who Stephenie trusted betray her this way?! I am so sad for her…but also for her fans who, like me, had no idea of such a thing happening. Now we are being punished for someone else’s wrong doings! This is inconceivable. I just am in shock! What will people do next?! I am so glad for Stephenie’s success but some of her fans are getting out of control! There are rules & guidelines that we must obey. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! It is just so sad! I don’t know what else to say.

Peace, Shan
