Running Music for 40 Somethings

Training for a half marathon gives you time to think, ponder and reflect.

Last Saturday I ran 10 miles in preparation for my half marathon I’m running this Saturday.

Running for 2 hours requires your ipod/mp3 player to be full of good high energy music to keep you motivated!

I decided to share the tunes that keep me running in hopes to help others stay motivated. 😉

Listen and Run,

Owl Themed

I’m just now getting in the Fall spirit.  This is the first day it’s not supposed to be in the 80’s!  It’s currently 56, great running weather!  😉

This past weekend my youngest daughter and I pulled out some of the Fall decorations from the attic.  She’s not very happy that I don’t like to fill up our yard with tacky Halloween decor.  I’m just not a Halloween type of gal.  No offense to anyone who likes it.  You’d think with my love of fantasy and sci-fi that I would love it.  Go figure!

We got the crafty bug and wanted to make some Fall paper crafts.

We made these cute owls on Sunday:

These will go into a fall banner

Next thing I know, my daughter is handing me this precious card she made:

Since I’m on an Owl kick today, might as well add one of my new favorite Owl City songs:

Hooting it up,

Electronic Music

I heard a beautiful song by Owl City on XM Radio’s The Message this morning. It’s a cover song. I will post a link to it on my blog Faith Brings Joy. I decided to look up his (Adam Young) website and found his blog. His last post is a fun song he just whipped up. It’s influence is from all the old video games from the 80’s like Pac-Man. If there is one thing I definitely learned at the Blissdom Blog Conference is that you can not put copyrighted music, pictures, anything copyrighted on your blog. So you will just have to go to his blog to hear it. Sorry! www.owlcityblog.com

I think it is amazingly cool that we can read artist’s blogs and find out who they are as a person.

Happy Monday,
Shan
