Treasure-Trove Thursday {Bloggers}

Bloggers are awesome people!  They care about themselves enough to write about their lives.  They care about the readers they write for.  They do this by sharing ideas, photos, podcasts and videos.  Comments are exchanged and relationships are formed.  Oh how I wish there was blogging back when my children were younger.  As a full time family manager, I would have benefited greatly from them.  When you work from your home, it can be isolating and lonely.  To be able to share ideas, struggles, passions, etc. would have helped to lessen the isolation some.  It does for me now.  Even with my children home, yes, I’m not entirely alone…they are my children.  Adults need interaction with other adults.  And I’m not talking about conversing with the person who checks out your food at the grocery store.  Better yet, you want someone who has the same interests as you.  This way you have something in common to talk about.  This is where blogs & bloggers come in.

I have made some very special friendships with other bloggers.  I want to share a few with you today.

Pam from Random Pocket Notes

Last week my blogger friend Pam surprised me in such a fantastic way.  She wrote a post expressing her gratitude for me.  Blush…  She is super sweet and I’m extremely grateful to have met her.

Laura from Our House of Joyful Noise

I found Laura’s blog by googling “Tuesday Link Parties.”  I knew the instant I saw her blog, we had lots in common.  I decided to link up to her newly introduced link party.  The rest, they say, is history.  We began commenting on our posts and twitter.  She became my very first guest post writer for Family Brings Joy.  Remember her beautiful post about 4th of July treats?  You can read it here if you missed it.

Ange from The Blooming Hydrangea

I don’t remember how I found Ange, but I am so glad I did.  She has been visiting and leaving me messages of joy since the beginning of April.  Her family is in the middle of a move right now.  She still finds time to comment and give me encouragement.

Bloggers bring Joy,

  1. Shan, I agree with you about having the blogging platform available when the kids were young! I really believe it would have enriched my life even more as a young mom!

    Thank you soooooo much for mentioning me here! It is amazing how people can touch you in one way or another…and you have touched me!

    Thank you! My hat is off to you my friend!

  2. Awwww! I missed this post! I have really been amazed at the beautiful people I have met, & the beautiful friendships that I have formed, through blogging – including you! It’s so hard to describe these connections, w/ people we have never met ‘in real life’. But I could swear I feel like I have sometimes, and have known them for years! The internet is a powerful tool, and blogging has become such a part of me, because of these special connections with souls like you, and the creative outlet it gives me. I must check out your other friends. Chances are if you dig them as good Peeps, I will too! I’m smitten to be part of your post here. XOXO to you!

    • This comment is ‘case in point’ why I heart you, Laura. 😀 Love and hugs back, my friend! {And yes, please check out my other good Peeps! lol}

  3. Shan,
    Ah, thanks! I am in the middle of a move and it’s going great so far! 🙂 Hope things are going well for you and can’t wait to be unpacked so I can get back to talking with my bloggy friends. Hugs!
    Ange
