Organize Your Kid’s School Supply Lists

This morning I am combining my kids school supply lists.  I wanted to be a little bit more organized so I made a list to use.  Sharing it with you, my awesome readers, today.  On the list I made a place for each child’s list of supplies and at the bottom a place to put all the supplies combined.  I am hoping it will make it a tad bit easier while shopping.  I also included a spot to put store sales and their expiration dates…good reminder.  Don’t want to miss out on those 5 cent deals some stores offer around this time!  My list has a place for three kids.  If you have more than three, guess you will have to print out two lists. {And bless you, Mom for having so many children ;)}

I have learned through the years it is better to shop earlier than later.  If we wait till the week before starts then invariably we can’t find everything on the list.  I don’t know about your kids, but mine sort of freak out if they don’t have all their supplies the first day of school.

  1. Yep. mine get a little twisty if they don’t have everything. Love the list, thanks for sharing. Another tip is to stockpile some of those great deals for mid-year, for when they need more paper, index cards, poster-board, etc.

  2. Yes, we stockpiled quite a bit with deals like 5 cents, 15 cents, 50 cents and 75 cents. So much better than having to run to the store last minute in the middle of the school year. I am honored to have you visit and comment, Vivienne! Thanks a million 😉

  3. Such a great idea! I like going for the good deals also. I don’t have kids in school yet, but I will definitely have to remember this for later. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving the sweet comment! I actually think I lucked into the washer stamping thing. When I went to the hardware store, I bought three different sizes of washers, hoping I could layer them, and the only one that would stamp well, was one size…no matter how many times I hit the punch…silly things. Well, have a great day!

  4. This will be my first year buying school supplies! I am so excited. I used to always love it when I was little, and now I get to do it again. Perhaps the excitement of it will wear off eventually, but right now it is fun.

  5. Hi! I need to find the school supplies list for seventh and second grade. Any Advice?

  6. I love your Organize Your Kid’s School Supply Lists and I am going to include this on my blog https://nicksposts.wordpress.com/. Thanks Nick

  7. Hey Shan!! Featuring your School Supply List print out this Tuesday at Our House! : ) Thanks for linking up, Girl!

  8. I have almost completed the school supply list that I’m going to purchase to my children. One new thing I included in my list is a cell phone with an emergency response system. I think it is something that all parents should consider, especially for those whose kids are usually doing activities without their guidance. My child has started to act independent particularly now that he has involved in extracurricular activities so I find this device to be helpful in enhancing his safety and my peace of mind as well. For parents who are thinking about giving their kids a cell phone, this makes a good reading: https://www.just5.com/story.php?story=7082011212459107055187&page=blog
